PBA vs NBA Asia Challenge 2010 Basketball Event

The most ambitious and largest NBA (National Basketball Association) event in the Philippines will happen again in Manila for the second straight year. This is an exhibition game featuring two teams composed of NBA Legends, NBA Development League (D-League) players and PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) Legends and All-Stars.

Last year, the NBA Generations team led by legends, Robert Horry, Dominique Wilkins, Tim Hardaway and Vlade Divac defeated the PBA All-Stars team led by legends, Allan Caidic, Alvin Patrimonio, Benjie Paras, Ronnie Magsanoc and Kenneth Duremdes with a final score of 109-86.

For NBA Asia Challenge 2010, a mixed line-up roster composed of NBA and PBA Legends, NBDL players and active PBA All-Stars will be applied unlike last year, NBA team vs PBA team.

The NBA Legends who are going to play for this year’s event include; 2006 NBA Champion and 9-time All-Star Gary Payton, 6-time All-Star Chris Webber, 2002 NBA champion and 6-time All-Star Mitch Richmond, and 2000 NBA champion and 1997 All-Star Game MVPGlen Rice.

While for the PBA Legends, Allan Caidic, Ronnie Magsanoc, Benjie Paras and Alvin Patrimonio will be back to play again. Vergel Meneses and Atoy Co will also join the squad this year.
